This song always gives me vibes of desperation, and anger. Silver was a great rival, and his party reflects that.
I don't know if it was intentional or not, but I've always felt like this song has some kind of sad overtone to it that isn't in the other rival themes across the series. I wish they kept it in the remakes because I feel like it conveys more about the rival's character.
